Changed my cracked head for a 12g295. Awesome difference. If only I could change the cam without taking the engine out.

Your the opposite to me !!!! I've installed a Kent 276 cam and want a 12G295 head now!!!! (and I did the cam change without removing engine )

Yesterday I refitted the rear subframe in the rain, today was the continuation but with better weather.
The rear trailing arms are on and that was a pig of a job due to having to use adjustable brackets (second hand subframe didn't come with any and the old ones of mine were just a pile of rust. The brake pipes to each side on (feed from front to do), handbrake cables on and adjusted. Rear springs (hydrolastic type) are on, ditto hydrolastic suspension parts, and it's partially pumped up (need it on the wheels to set correctly. Paint applied to new metal.

put it onto axle stands ready to start the repair work, - removed bonnet and grille. poked a huge hole in the sill where previous owners had used oversills to fix/ruin it

New water pump!...which although in it's self is a straight forward job as there is no captive nut on the back of lower rad mount took a total of 3 hours. Fingers crossed the garage floor is dry in the morning...

and on reinstalling the fan added a small washer to each bolt so it now clears the timing chain cover breather.

In an effort to confirm where oil is leaking from, I put it on axle stands, warmed it up and ran it for ten mins. Can't see any fresh oil and there are no drips on the floor ;)

Its a mystery!
