Today I've spent two hours underneath the mini trying to remove the rod linkage, unsuccessfully....

New boots on the front, a tank full of super unleaded and the roof open in the sunshine - I'm in love again

Not today, but Saturday. I had a very productive day working on the Mini in the equatorial heat we're having here in N Ireland.
Got the Traveller up on axle stands to start work on the brake upgrades.
All 4 wheels (genuine Cooper S 3.5 steelies) rubbed down, tyres masked and repainted Old English White (fella I bought them off had them refurbished for his Mk2 Cooper S so were silver).
Sumpguard cleaned, degreased and repainted satin black for that extra stealthy look.
All the wood trim rubbed back silky smooth and then two coats of Danish Oil to bring them back up like new.
Got original twin air box rubbed back and repainted - even got NOS Coopers air filter decal applied for that factory look.
Maybe do a bit more this evening.
