It made a 163 at 13psi which I was dissapointed with as its a 1460 turbo. But I think restrictions in the exhaust, turbo and 5 port head are all contributing to it. I think its time for a 16v or 7 port head. I just hope it's not blow by due to the big bore. It drives really nice and revs very smooth up to the 7k limiter.

Not today, but I got it back from the MOT garage on Friday just gone after it hand some welding work underneath the rear subframe where corrosion had occurred. Crazy to think how that happened as it's garaged all year round and only used to for summer shows, lol!
It then passed the MOT and is more or less ready for this years L2B in 3 weeks!

Did nothing today because I set fire to my hand when doing a bit of welding yesterday. I was wearing black plastic gloves and had just removed some bits from the de-greasing bowl. Then I decided to put a tack of weld on the nuts I weld to the engine mountings.
I didn't put my welding gloves on and a spark from the welder landed on the gloves which must have still had some damp 'brake & clutch cleaner' on them.
The next thing I knew was my RH glove was in flames and I ran out of the workshop but couldn't get the glove off as it was melting into my skin.
Today I have a large bandage whilst I wait for the burnt skin to heal. Very painful
Note for the future: Always change to the leather gloves when welding!

It's an easy mistake to make! Hope you're back in the shed soon 😁

All I wanted to do was to tack-weld 2 x 5/16" UNF nuts onto each of my new engine mountings.
I had some bits in the degreaser bowl and dropped one back into the bowl as I picked it up. That got degreasing fluid onto my gloves and, bingo, up it went when a spark from the MIG hit the glove.
Easy to do, but it was really a case of carelessness. I always (well, usually) wear leather gloves whenever I am welding. A painful lesson.
