First start, no exhaust manifold a few sensors not connected and no vac lines. super excited and chuffed with it! 2 years worth of work so far!

Got back from a fantastic break up in Scotland for the Thistle Run, with my friends from Norfolk in their Midas, good times!

Also, checked float oil level in the HIF44, which seemed to be low. So ordered genuine SU dash pot oil & damper from Minispares.
Hopefully that should cure the misfire.

Enjoyed the short drive to the MOT place and enjoyed the return trip even more - MOT man says YESSSSS and no advisories
Was running lean according to the analyser so he let me adjust it before we moved on - runs a lot smoother now.
New sills
Not a drop - yet
Got home and taxed it on line, filled up and went for a spin. Pulls really well, smooth, quiet (for a Mini) and a joy to drive. Chuffed doesn't cover it

Went for a drive around the lanes of Cheshire Everything worked including the Tex shiny wipers - and the screens and sunroof don't leak either

Then did a static tune of the carb as has been smelling a bit rich. Hopefully it will be alright for my drive tomorrow after dying i the rain on my way to a rather important exam

Think I sorted it, by knocking out the pedal cross shaft, cleaning it & then a smear of grease either end.
Seems to move more freely now & no sticking down.
Also, my dashpot oil & damper arrived today, so topped up the oil & fitted new damper (old one was crossthreaded!).
