Changed the oil and filter, and also swapped out the radiator, put coolant in.. reset tappets and retorqued the head. It's feeling great, pulls really nice now I can't wait to fit my solid subframe mounts tomorrow to hopefully sharpen up the handling!

No, I've just had my shoulder repaired having ripped the tendons off the bone and bicep. I can't drive for two months.

Checked the one last option that could mean my engine doesn't need a rebuild and myself and the father think it will last until winter when we will probably put it on storage
Installed a quick shifter and my gosh it makes a difference!
finally painted the old racing wheel my dad had in his 1072 Cooper S to match my body colour and be used in mine :)

Did some welding. First bit done on the project for 4 years!

bare metal stripped the clubman  

cut off a panel 

cut out the door step and  trimmed new one ready for welding in

ordered shed load of parts

New screen seals arrived yesterday

Today fitted bumpers and slapped a bit more paint on the rear valance - missed a bit   Also fitted a new pair of exhaust bobbins to the rear silencer, I'm sure they were OK last week

Finally removed my engine (by hand, there was 2 of us) and removed rear subframe to swap everything over to a newly powdercoated heritage one. Then it's off to the bodyshop Saturday! Finally!

Resurrected my old wipac fog light.
Tested it
then fitted it
then tested it on the car with the dash switch and it works, very bright.
Then took a few more pics of my beast
Have just ordered a seventh gauge-fuel pressure gauge 0-100 psi or 0-7 bar and inline fitting.
Also ordered an oil temp sandwich plate so i get correct reading for oil temp.
