That was at the end most had left or joined the queue while I waited around. Was really busy and biggest turn out in many years apparently as the weather was great too.

Got a reply from the previous owner of the car (bought from them about 8 years ago)who I'd recently written to to let them know what had happened to the car since they sold it to us. Found out the car has got a name - 'Gertie' so that solves my previously unresolved quandary of what to call her! they're looking out pictures from when they owned it to send me.

Re-assembled and fitted the Britax sunroof with the second hand cover I had. The front plate originally came out of an MGB so a little bit of adjusting of was needed. Fiddly, messy (sealant everywhere :shy: ) but it's in, it opens, it closes and is as tight as a drum :D  Just need to clean up the head lining of all my mucky finger prints O_O

Got the engine running finally, managed to get the brakes to bleed partially I'll finish them off tomorrow. Now I've found that my clutch doesn't disengage. It's a verto with new friction and pressure plate, new clevis pin and pushrod. Looks like I'll be ordering a new clutch arm and also need to sort out the sloppy pedal clevis pin. Hopefully this should mean the clutch will disengage!

L2B is my deadline and I've got to squeeze in an MOT before then (currently booked for Monday 8:30am!) Minispares express delivery certainly has it's uses!

Fitted the interior, not bad for 26 years old. The only non original bits are the dash, gear stick and Paddy peddle which I fitted about ten years ago :D

Got the Shutz gun out and lathered the underside, a bit awkward with the car a foot off the deck but it's done - and I didn't get any in my hair
