Fitted new accelerator cable (cheated and just slipped the new inner through :shy: ) Heater installed and system filled with water - just a slight drip from one of the heater connections which nipped up. Wet flatted the whole car in preparation for cutting and polishing - soon be shiny :mrcool:

I have fitted new spots and 2 extra and also a stage 1 kit from minisport, despite reading bad things about them and being a bit worried about how it was going to fit (it was a gift so couldn't really swap it for a maniflow as originally planned) it went on pretty well and sounds great, it's the twin box system. next is the rolling road tune.

Sanding filler, and then sanding some more filler. Sodding pinpricks. Pro Worx filler chaps, its the way forward.

Finished rebuilding my SPI inlet, sprayed a couple of bits black and then fitted the piston-rod assemblies with new big end bolts and washers ready for fitting.

Today I shall be removing the adjustable camber brackets off the rears, and refitting the standard brackets again....

Maybe refit the Hi-Lo's....

I'll also - hopefully - be polishing the roof because the paints gone a bit dull....

Also, did my thermostat at the same time... one stud broke despite my best efforts (half an hour winding the bolt left & right a mm at a time..)

But, it came out in the end and I could fit new studs & nuts, a new 'stat and gasket- phew!!

Got a couple of rattle cans on White Diamond and sprayed the roof, not a bad finish if I say so myself. Seems like I'm better with a rattle can than a spray gun :shy:

Put a membrane on both doors. Fixed the passenger window. Put the front headlight back in.
Checked the lights.

Discovered a broken wire on the lighting circuit. Damn!

Ate some chocolate, dug the wheels out and gave them a good clean (note to self - next time don't leave the wheels under the car when you're spraying it :-|) Ate some more chocolate

Fitted piston-rod assemblies to crank. I hate the clampy band type compressors they're awful, should have bought a tapered one. Oh well it's done now..

Today my new silencer and flexi arrived so I decided now was the time to trial fit it.

Offered the new parts up to the existing pipe

Cut the pipe, no going back now

Tacked the parts together, I'll trial fit it tomorrow

Borrowed the wife's steam cleaner to have a go at the seats. They where pretty grubby but they came up great with just the steam and a sponge to wipe the grime away - seats were still dry to the touch when I'd finished. It even took out saggyness in the rear seat base where something had been stored on top of it :-)
