picked it up from east anglian mini center where they fixed the electrics which are a shambles!

took them 5 1/2 hours to check all the 'lectrics and fix the sidelights which were not working and generally sort the electrics out so they wont catch fire.

new battery and £365, But i did get some stickers!!!!

bloody hell, you could of fitted a new loom for half of that

They did say I'd need a new loom at some point and that it would be a couple of days work - how long do you think it would take for me to do it all myself? I have the wiring diagram. from the haynes manual (would be nice if they did it in colour though)

She's not been out for a run since early October. Popped out and she started up first time and purred like a kitten.

Actually that is a lie. Totally flattened a fully charged battery pack, so went and got the other car. Had jump leads connected for over an hour before she finally fired. Removed dizzy cap, plugs, leads etc etc and wiped them all down. Was a spark, but it was a bit weak. Think it just took a while to get the fuel in there. Finally fired and I took her for a spin. Bit lumpy and occasionally bogged down. Gonna whip all plugs out and give them a little clean later in the week, as well as remove the k&n filter and give it a proper clean. Think she's just running a little rich at the minute.

Took the vauxhall x16xe 16v engine out and swapped it for a c16xes engine (more power and torque) only to find the radiator is no good.
