Decided I was fed up climbing over and around stuff  in the back of the garage so started a marathon clean and tidy up, back on it tomorrow too.

Been there meself the past week too.....

_{fitted rear retractable seat belts, which involved making some retaining plates up and welding them in place. I am very happy with the results too, no more messing about with those bloody awful fixed belts and the kids will be happy.}

Any chance you can tell me where you got them from and how they're mounted...?

 

Would like to do this to my Mini sometime too....

Wednesday wax oiled all inside nicks and floor and then quick polish to get any overspray off,today hopefully put it all back together

Tried to start it. It's been over a month, maybe two. Kept the battery on a trickle charger so all was good there but I could not get it to fire :-(

Well finally got it all back together again and also redone the base of my front seat which is actually the back seat as its a stumpy so had to put some new treated board in it and restaple it back,looks a lot better now,have to get some photos when we get a niceish day.next job some front spot lights I think unless I spot something else to do.

Continued the garage clear out, Found a brilliant use for the useless pit, I managed to get three Rootes engines, a Commer gearbox, a Minor gearbox two Mini gearboxes and all sorts of assorted bits an bobs down there

Removed heal board and front cross member out of the van

Got my minispares order of lots of small bits and a carpet set, I know minis are small but I don't think a carpet set is in the box for some reason

Started to finish off the wing welding but my compressor then decided to commit suicide. £153 later for new motor, pulley and ctrl unit. Knocking back the welds will have to wait until that little lot turns up.

The car was number three, my boy asked me to buy a secondhand Snap On toolbox for £1k thinking he was going to move it on straight away as he normally does, but no he said he would sort it out when he gets back from the Falklands on xmas eve.

So me and the missus scraped together the money raiding my car fund and our bank account only to drop that bomb on us after we picked the box up. Best the little sod sells it quick when he gets back to give us some serious profit.
