Everything on the carb including the float valve checks out ok, plus are a nice brown colour (might swap anyways) and the cap, rotor and leads all look fine.

Just a pain in the arse I have to completely remove the grill and a weather shield jut to get the dizzy cap off.

You can come and clean mine if you want (the whole car not just the carb) with it having to live outside and used over winter, I can’t remember the last time it was washedAfter that I spent about an hour cleaning my carb with carb cleaner and extra long cotton buds. I think I am losing the plot.

took out the boot ice install, to repair the shocker mount of the so called solid clubby i brought, only to find a black bin liner full of foam that had been glued everywhere. also found that the petrol tank was wedged in with the foam an no tank strap.
. wish i'd kept my white clubby now. the things we do for tax free hey.
welded shock mount, painted inside the boot, all looks good now. re-wired the ice/amp with proper conectors, all nice and tidy. just got to wait for the paint to dry now so hopefully tomorrow i can refit the tank and put it all back together.
