Finally taken the split rims off and put some 10x6 Gbs on for the bad weather

Adjusted the bonnet so it shuts now...checked/topped up all the fluids...pumped the tyres up aaaaaand filled a black bin bag full of rubbish from the inside.

ooo i always fixeed thebrake light, just gave it a wiggle. Cleaned the chrome inside the lamp to try and make te rear lights brighter!

Wheeled her out of the garage and jump started her, for the first time in two months. Didn't take her out though as far too much salt on the roads. Noticed drivers side a panel is starting to bubble up. Still, she ran lovely for half hour or so, until I put her back in the garage.

Bought a new wheel bearings as well, but that's for a warmer day.

Managed to get back out into the garage and paint the new sill as well as start painting the inside ready to put it back together for next year

Not mine, but fitted a door skin and did a ruck of welding to a mates car!!

(damm it was cold though!!)

Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be able to start on my own cars!!

Today I got the oil and filter changed, fitted some new Lumenition leads, and went round the car with the grease gun. I had to slacken the fan belt off a bit too as I must have tightened it up too much yesterday.

Picked me Mini up from the garage tonight , after having to wait for the snow to go and an item to be delivered

Put a bowl of boiling water in the boot, whilst the Mini was sat in work's car park ...

That did absolutely naff all!


I had to remove the washer bottle and leave it in the kitchen to defrost the blimmin' thing!


It's got a strong mixture of screenwash in it, too!

Froze my tits off welding someone elses mini just so I could get my own mini(which I've sold!!) into the garage so I can complete the welding on that as I'm gonna be delivering it on Saturday!!

Once all this is done I can get my own cars under cover and start work on Maisie!!

today i put new numberplates on the mini and some mini club jersey stickers in the rear window

suprising how new numberplates really makes the car look fresh again!

Just tightened the fan belt as it was screaming where ever i went. I fitted it last week (1st bit of mechanical work ive done for years) obviously too loose. Im just hoping its not too tight now?!?! Also topped up the oil as it was on the minimum. Now im gonna get washed up & go out for a blast in it! woop woop!
