Just topping Matilda up wiv fluids.
Luckily antifreeze & screenwash are different colours & oil comes in a meckal tin otherwise a hallf-asleep Juju would create a hell of a mess.

I'm going to go out there and kick it, then collapse and cry while slapping the ground and shouting WHY WHY WHY

Trying to tempory fix my throttle release spring so she can move to her new winter home, (big barn :-), but it's so awkward getting to the spring with pliers to bend the spring end into more of a hook :D

Had a new Yoko fitted on the front this morning. Got to go outside in a bit and clean the tyre up and get some dressing on it. Got a new detailing product to try out too. Its called Iron X. Supposed to remove iron deposits that have become sintered to the paint by chemically changing them into a water soluble solution. Only thing is it absolutely stinks to high heaven. Smells literally like an open sewer. Nice.

Broke down in mine today.... On the side of the M1... In the snow.... And the cold.... For 2.5 hours.... I was cold and hungry and bored by the end of it.

I managed to get my mini running today after a lot of fettling :) i started at 10am and after stripping and re-building the distributor, setting up the plug gaps/points, setting the ignition timing, sorting out some rather dodgy wiring and replacing some of the fuel lines she was running by 4pm. Before today she had only been started up once in 6 years, so its great to hear her running again.

I decided to fix some rattles that have been annoying me for a few weeks...

Stereo bracket was loose.
Front drivers wheel arch had a rivet missing.
Front bumper was missing a nut.
Front grille was working its way loose.
Found an odd screw and an old pound coin covered in rust down the back of the dash.
The heater has been clicking for a couple of weeks...found a monkey nut shell wedged in the fan blades and the nuts in the fresh air hose. Weird!

Sometimes its the simple things that make the most difference. Sounds much better now!

today I drove the car to work in the snow - 13x7's don't like the snow :S but this weekend I did re-fit the exhaust after a broken middle bracket and flushed the radiator refiled with some antifreeze and the stuff that plugs up holes in the radiator (radweld??)I also paid some polish people to clean him while i went christmas shopping (its only a couple of quid more to give it to them and tell them to clean it than to park in the multi storey.

busy weekend for anderson
