Today i made a start on fitting my megajolt setup.

Went out and grabbed the last few bits i needed. A set of fiesta HT leads and some 1/8" tubing for the vac takeoff

Took out the rad and figured it was easier NOT to disconnect the bottom hose but just pop it off the water pump, it gives enough to be able to lift the rad out of the way.

Found out that even with the car in 4th gear i couldn't free the crank pully bolt. I couldn't get the breaker bar on easy and the comedy spanner was just bouncing around so off came the starter motor so i could jam a screwdriver in the ring gear.

Also found that my 998 wasn't fitted with the damper style pully so the one i machined to fit the trigger wheel wasa bit of a pain to get on even with the engine mount loose. Took the easy way out and trimmed the bracket a bit more square with my grinder.

Finally knocked up the parts for the bracket out of some scrap steel. Doesn't look too bad with an easy to get to hex capped bolt. It will be mounted to the same bolts as the engine mount so it should be nice and solid.

Re-fitted some fog lamps under the bumper on the 25 in the fog/mist, only to discover I’ve run out of long enough lengths of wire to connect them all up. :(
