fitted two of the alloys with tyres, a steering rack gaiter, engine steady mount, removed brake pipe to use as a template, tried to start, gave up when battery was flat!

Played the start wars death march music in my head whilst the automatic garage was rolling up.

Took it over to the garage, wiped it down and covered it up. Now to figure out what to do with it.

Damn, it great driving over though.

Got home and read about my car in Mini Mag, now I want it back even more! >_<

I found out it's much more difficult fixing a 'custom dash' and weber box than if the po left it alone in the first place.

Tuesday night I drove from Doncaster to Whitby and back after I finished work at 5.
To pick up this rack

Then yesterday I dried all the back end out as water was leaking through the rear screen seal, filled up my parcel shelf, back seat and boot.
Could only find white silicone so it'll do for now until I get a new seal.
Then made a new parcel shelf cover too, of which I have about 60 left to cut out and decide what to cover them with etc

Replaced the indicator relay today after giving up the ghost since Saturday 15th. Hazards were working fine.

I was trying for a while to find out what the fault was and finally deduced yesterday via the multimeter that it was the relay as 12v was hitting one of the two connections - the second one being the earth I believe.

Went to Camberly Auto Factors after work. The one in Farnborough. It is MASSIVE compared to the Basingstoke one! Heeeee-uge! Anyway I plugged in the new one, tried the indicator and saw just a static orange light. Put the connections on the wrong way round. Swapped them over and voila! Indication!

I did hate driving around with no indicators as I hate, hate, HATE people who don't bother to indicate, and I was looking like one of them.

I know you can indicate using your hands but most of my travelling is done to and from work via the motorway and I'm not going to stick my arm out there.

Also, when I was putting the relay in, I noticed my washer bottle was just sitting loose between the bulkhead and the head/rocker cover. I must have left it like that yesterday evening after trying WD40 electrical cleaner on the connections trying to fix it. >_<

I like how I wrote six paragraphs talking about me replacing an indicator relay, and you keep it very short and straight to the point about putting an engine in and getting it running like it was nothing.

You bastard.
