Yesterday...
Sprayed stone chip under the rear of the car, then fitted the rear subframe

Today...
Fitted new rear shocks (Gaz adjustables), on with the rear wheels, and finally got her rear end back down on the ground
Had a fire in the Mini (welding underneath and forgot there was a bit of cardboard sitting directly above on the floor pan... lots of brown excitement in my pants!!!)
Removed the front end (steel flip front) to finish off some welding around the toe board and close the leading ends of the sills.
Tried to remove the front subframe tower bolts... they wouldn't budge and sheared the end off a 1/2" extension bar

Tomorrow...
Off to buy a 3/4" breaker bar, extension bar, and 1 5/16" socket... hopefully that beefy hardware will budge those tower bolts!

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oversills :goaway: :goaway: :goaway: :goaway:

That ain't the half of it. I tried to clean the boot floor to weld a post in for the rear spit section to find the boot floor was full of filler.
I will get it cross braced tonight and the cut out the floor and sills ready for the new metal.

'Twas a dark cold morning, rather misty.

Today I silently mocked my mini as I walked past it to my other car.

I then ate my words and fantasized about what it would look like with a set of spot/fog lamps.

Karma.

Yesterday I changed the spotlights to a pair of Lucas' and upgraded the headlights to quadoptics which I had been putting off for months.

I also whimped out of changing the rear lights to mk2's and now have to wait till I'm low on petrol again :shy:
