Just a bit. About £1100 for a rebuild with uprated bits.
Add in an engine refresh (block is out, may aswell) and it's heading north of 2k.

Current contenders are a D series a17 (130bhp stock) auto, with a mini me conversion (vtec) or a k series 1.8 turbo with a little nudge on the boost.

K series is drastically cheaper.
