I removed an Elvis decal after buying the car yesterday

Then Removed seats so I could remove carpet as had a small puddle in rear turned out to be a leak from the bolt that holds the seat belt clickers in
Posted Image
Then while the seats are out i cleaned the whole car inc roof lining as car had not been moved in three years

And thats what i did today!!!!

Decided time had come to adjust rear brakes up. Couldnt understand why neither of the drums would adjust up properly. Whipped the drums off for a look and it turns out both of the top springs had broken , on both sides. Very strange. Springs replaced, brake dust removed, adjusters copper greased, handbrake lovely agian. Did notice however while the car was on axle stands just how quick the rear subframe can start rusting. It has brand new just over two years back and was painted and protected before we fitted it. Now it seems that surface rust has reared its ugly head in some places. Blody battery box has also got a fair amount of grot appearing too so that is next on the list to be replaced. Cant complain really though as it is the original battery box and it is coming up to 19 years old so it has had a good innings.

Fitted my cat back exhaust today so im well happy, also found some more problem areas (rust) whilst under there, but its not that bad yet.

If anyone wants my standard exhaust from the cat back drop me a message (its free) im in Bristol and item is to be collected, its a bit gruby but in good useable condition.
