Mixed day today, on the down side - sheared off the tie bar to lower arm bottom nut. Seems a previous owner didn't believe in routine maintainance.
And the lower arm bushes are mullered in ways I can't describe.

On the plus side, the subframe mounts are now all fresh and tight, the upper engine steady is steady-ing and the lower one is well.. Not providing dead weight anymore - it was just flapping around aimlessly anyway.

Still lots to do and more to find... It's not even my car!

After 4 hours of slaving away I finally got my old manifold off and my new Maniflow one out of its box. Connected one of the pipes to my CAT and then realised the lambda is knackered.

Now I have to wait for that to be delivered before I can fit the rest of it.

I thought I was going to have it back on the road tonight

Got rid of the horrible cardboard parcel shelf. Need to drill a couple of bigger holes in it now for the sub in the boot, finally decided to do something about it sounding awful. Awaiting delivery of the sound deadening then I'll hopefully be able to turn the bass up a bit.

Looked at it, said yes, you definitely have an oil leak. Then decided to look into that superficially tomorrow!

Added an extra engine steady which took longer than expected as does most things I attempt to do on the mini.

new throotle cable kinda fixed the choke cable but guess ill have to put a new one on soon, tightend the thermostat cover, had a nice drive

Well yesterday we fitted the number plates, dad did some wiring, and we have hopefully sorted the oil leak from the diff casing 





Just need the exhaust on and the rear will be complete

I gave mine a wash (got someone coming over tomorrow who is interested in buying it ) and was 3/4's through drying when it started raining again but at least its clean
