With sun shining and a cool 27 degrees on the thermometer, i took the mini for its first drive since last September....and it was wicked now that i've fixed the exhaust. Looking forward to some shows now. Hope the sunny weather lasts!

Got it charging the battery all by itself so I don't have to jump start it every time I want to go out

Put the headlights in properly, put the master cylinder on, took the compensator valve off, wired the fog and reverse lights in and fitted the tank.

I tried to change out the rear brake cylinders/shoes on my mini, as the rear cyl. was leaking slowly, everything was wet inside the drum, when I tried to loosen the brake line from the brake cylinder, it just twisted off, now I am waiting for parts again, it's a pain over here, you can't just go to the auto parts store, have to have them sent here, but it only takes a couple days.

thats why i invested in a sykes pickavant bench brake flaring tool.....ok it was expensive but well worth it............. ;D

i took our mini out today as well, it doesent like this heat too much though, it started to get a bit warm in traffic, now that its pushing over 70bhp i think that the radiator is starting to struggle a bit.......time for a super cool rad i think!!

That was my plan, but it seemed too hot to do it, the water would have dried off by itself. That bottle of SRP from the run pack is begging to be used.

All I did in the end was take off my 3 L2B car flags, plaque and roof rack and then put my L2B sticker on the window. Nothing major and I was trawling through mini spares and minits websites looking for stuff I could buy to fit today, it was such a nice day I just wanted to be out there doing something.
