Unfortunately that happens more often than not, especially with steel brake lines. The very same thing happened to me yesterday - luckily I have some spare brake pipe and a cutter / flarer tool. Although I'll be honest, I didn't use any of that... I just stole the pipe from my laid up mini...I tried to change out the rear brake cylinders/shoes on my mini, as the rear cyl. was leaking slowly, everything was wet inside the drum, when I tried to loosen the brake line from the brake cylinder, it just twisted off

Do you mean wax?
Try 3 layers of Dodo Purple Haze, will work a treat on that dark paintwork Long time beading with a super glossy finish.

wax - polish all the same to me. stuff you stick on your paint to make it shinier ;)
True but Wax will protect your paint work from bird dropping and tree sap ect .
Yeah the purple haze is good but try Collinite 845 insulator wax its amazing and liquid so easy to apply

Couldnt agree more, protection is very important. Esp with a Mini thats prone to rusting. Good protection will prolong the life of your paint. I prefer hard waxes for the body and then the liquid (like the one of suggested) for door shuts and hard to reach places (an often neglected and very important part that rusts of the body).
Anyway, we digress. Back on topic - Today I sorted out a short in my rear speakers. Now I can listen to music again. Woop!

I now have a e-brake again, and the brake pedal is right on the top now.
I did have an issue though, when I tried ajusting the brakes in the rear, the ajuster bolt(if that's what it is called), seemed to strip, so basicly either the shoes were really tight because I forced the ajuster in with a bar, or they are loose, which doesn't seem to effect the pedal height at all, so I will leave it alone, and check into more new part/parts, do one, do both, although I bought two new rear brake lines, the other side came off easy, so I left the old one on it, and now have an extra.
I did have another issue also, the brake cylinders I received had the dowel pin on the wrong side, so I had to remove it from both brake cylinders so I could get the clips on, is this really bad?
Fact is, the driverside had no clip holding it on, and the dowel pin was removed on it also, did I receive the wrong parts?
I thought it was really strange that the bleeder is on the bottom of these brake cylinders, but they seemed to bleed properly, and the pedal is not soft, so I am assuming I got all the air out of the lines, it's really weird having the bleeder on the bottom, I have never seen anything with the beeder on the bottom before.
