Anyone ever tried to change the front windscreen by their self? I bought one a while ago but never got around to attempting to fit it.
I'm worried I might not be able to get the new one in and be stuck without a windscreen.

Removed the pepper pot alloys from my mini seven, rubbed them down removing all signs of oxidisation from under the paint. Dressed out all the scuffs around the rims, etch primed and primed. Tomorrow I will spay silver and lacquer. Now have very sore fingers!
Then with the money I have saved paying a proffesional to restore the wheels( cheapest quote £200). I bought a cat back mainiflow exhaust with twin silencers. This arrived today. I had the old exhaust of the car in no time with the new one being an easy fit. Very pleased with the quality of the exhaust and sounds great, a nice burble without being boy racer loud. Can't wait to get the wheels finished and give the mini a test run to see how the new exhaust sounds and performs.

A bit of WD40 and some elbow grease and all done. I know why he had covered them cause they are a little tatty underneath but I much prefer the original to the chava racing covers.
They are cobra classic replicas or maybe real, not sure.
My little girl helped me too, she is 2 1/2, when I say she helped she kept locking herself in the car and shouting I need a wee, my reply was don't wee in there the florepan is wet enough ( that's the next job) lol

Fit the rubber round the car frame first I used a screwdriver to guide the glass on to the rubber ,Use the fitting tool when trying to get the chrome strip round the screen, keep the rubber lubed as you work it round, it can pop out at the corners if goes well you can complete it in half an hour
