attempted to change the top engine steady bushes, but couldn't get the bolt out
Did this a couple of weeks ago.... spray the bolts with loads of WD40 and leave for a while for it to soak in.
cheers for this, tried WD40 today, still wont come out lol, it spins just wont pull out; I'll leave the WD40 to soak overnight and try again tomorrow

Also changed the borked engine mounts on the Cooper yesterday, I'd forgoten what a pita they are to get at
I'm also reading this thread looking at the grinder scar on one of my fingers. I feel your pain

I went down to the bone
Stuck a plaster on it and went back out garage
In hindsight I should have gone to get some stitches as the scar is pretty big now

stripped the rear subframe down to components and cleaned them ready for painting but then sliced my finger with angle grinder which stopped play...
