Done nothing to it, but at work we have a new manager, who drives a Subaru, I was asking him how fast he can go with launch control etc. Convo then leads on to what I drive. & how he's always wanted a mini :D He looked into getting one but was too expensive for a half decent one etc :)

attempted to change the top engine steady bushes, but couldn't get the bolt out :mmkay:

Did this a couple of weeks ago.... spray the bolts with loads of WD40 and leave for a while for it to soak in.

cheers for this, tried WD40 today, still wont come out lol, it spins just wont pull out; I'll leave the WD40 to soak overnight and try again tomorrow

Made a new cork gasket for the fuel tank on the racer (it's got an alloy tank with a plate in the top that's got the filler neck and pipes on it). Hopefully third time lucky as attempt one ended with supposedly suitable sealant turning to mush and clogging the whole fuel system >_< Attempt two, a new paper gasket just, didn't work at all lol :shy:
Also changed the borked engine mounts on the Cooper yesterday, I'd forgoten what a pita they are to get at :X

I'm also reading this thread looking at the grinder scar on one of my fingers. I feel your pain :(

That stopped play :o

I went down to the bone

Posted Image

Stuck a plaster on it and went back out garage

Posted Image

In hindsight I should have gone to get some stitches as the scar is pretty big now

Noticed this morning that although I replaced my exhaust and CAT, it's still blowing.

Think I might need a new manifold.
