haha yep it does make a good difference!

Polished it with a budget polishing kit from thepolishingshop.co.uk

They're less than a tenner and with a bit of practice you can get any metal like a mirror!

I did absolutely nothing to it other than drive it to work and back. I even got a friendly "toot" from a Bini too :P

Well after not getting chance to work on my mini before work (i changed the clock on my iphone sat night and it then also changed on sunday night so lost an hour and only found out i was an hour early for work once i had signed in, DOH!) Anyway got home and set about making a little dashboard and was all going will until i went to put my head unit in, and it sticks out about 2 inches, flipping mini having a tiny space behind dash, so im gunna build out the area around head unit that amount tonight tomorrow and make a little glovebox. :D

Put Goodridge braided hoses on the back (pain in the arse...and back), painted drums Smooth Black, cleaned up backplates and shoes, greased all moving parts, new slave cylinders both sides and learning the easy method for getting the circlips on :proud:
All this, only to find the piston slap has somehow got worse since I last drove it, and it now sounds completely undrivable. Boo!
New engine next week.

I painted the calipers red on Saturday morning and then on Sunday, I gave her a clean and polish (hopefully it will stay like that for Malvern Mini Show) then took a few pictures. Then on Monday after work, me and the misses when for a ride to Bewdley Town.

Drove back from College only to come across a huge tailback on the bypass because a lorry turned over by the round a bout near the VW garage (great way to practice clutch control xD). Then my Dad and I took the front left wheel off to deal with a suspension problem so now we need to replace the hi-low bar or what ever it's called. Also discovered a squeaky noise coming from the steering rack. So plenty of work to do this weekend.

Plans for the weekend include polishing, waxing and going for a nice drive!
