I cleared everything out of him inpreparation to taking him off to a garage,
to get the damage done by someone very silly at a roundabout hopefully it won't take too long, i want him back!

Took mine out for a spin round the block, first time I have driven my sis around, she thought it was a bit weird. Oh and tried to fix my speedo, no luck as yet but i have worked out that in 3rd at about 2.5k i am doing 30 roughly so I should be ok and not speeding until i get a new speedo cable :)

Fitted a centre oil pick-up pipe & new layshaft bearings to an A+ gearbox and removed the 2.9:1 final drive ready for a 2.7:1 crownwheel & pinion which is arriving tomorrow.

Yep!

Filed the rough casting letters and marks off it first, wet sanded it with 600 wet&dry and then polished it up for about an hour with a few different mops and compounds.

Makes a massive difference

I got carried away on Mini Spares again...

• Mk3 grille and surrounds
• 4 over riders + fitting kit
• Heater valve and gasket
• 3 core radiator
• diff housing side plate gasket and O-ring

Oh well, it should be good when I've put it all on! I'm going to order some new number plates too: some 70s style pressed white and yellow ones and some black and silver ones strictly for show purposes only

Swore at the bloody stupid fluted bypass hose that's split after 3 months, kevlar here we come

Gave it some petrol now I've found a garage on the way to work that 3p cheaper than the one by my house It needs a clean too but today isn't the day for that!
