Finished fitting the new soundproofing and carpet

Fitted new headlights to the cooper and got the spots working on the city (damn you ill fitted earth!!)

Just waiting for more parts to come through to fill the rest of the week.

Removed half the rear load floor upto the heel board, fabricated a load floor bracket and took lots and lots of measurements before cutting

Fitted a new magnetic tax disc holder, put the heater back in with a new matrix and fitted a new windscreen washer pump.

spent about 3hours looking for a bag of balls that click into place on the bearing that goes into the diff, made a mess of the garage before i remembered they were in a drawer in the kitchen

Bled the brakes and adjusted the rear brake shoes then fixed the alternator belt tensioner and did a general spanner check on my Grandson's 1997 Cooper MPI.
Then found out the new alternator bels as supplied by the local motor factors was too short - correct one will arrive tomorrow.

Replaced my black 12 x 5.5's for white 12 x 4.5's with new tyres - much easier to turn the steering when parking now

i decided to re-wrap the wiring loom i got off another mini to convert for RHD, it doesnt seem too molested but it will still be interesting putting it on the car when the time comes but aww well its all part of the fun




im not too sure on the blue though, the car will be blue and i was thinking to get it to blend in abit but im not too sure still

I replaced a wheel stud which I snapped yesterday then decided to investigate the annoying squeaking noise from the o/s/f, seems it was the backplate rubbing off the drum I fitted the alloys I was going to get shot blasted (will shot blast them later now lol) Filled him up with fuel then took him a wee drive. Now its time to order some stuff from minispares!



The silver arches are now on borrowed time!

rubbed a bit of dust off the wing in a quick attempt to not feel so bad about neglecting it

and then scratched it getting my bike out the garage >.<
