If you're using hadrian wings(or any non genuine ones) then you also need to grind about 3/4mm off the wing lips, usually they're way too big and foul on the lip on the inner wing.

I did that at the front where the gap is quite good but towards the rear there was no need to trim off as it was fine. This particular car has fought us every step of the way so its been a good learning curve for when we do another.

No doubt it will throw a few more curve balls at us before its finished. :P

Heres a quick couple of photos of my gaps. it doesn`t look too bad, but next to the headlight it opens back out, think its how the seperate piece has been welded to main body of wing?

I see what you mean about that gap, maybe you could tack in a piece of steel to level it up.

I would be happy with those other gaps, much better than ours. The bonnet we have got does seem to bulge up at the back so when i press down on it the gaps decrease so i may be able to do something with that instead of adding metal or slicing the bonnet.

I will have a play after i have sorted the other more pressing jobs, both door steps, both outer sills, front l/h floor pan oh and reskinning the l/h door amongst other jobs. Bugger!!!

Hows the gap on the o/s front corner? Tried giveing the bonnet a twist to see if you can close it up? I think those gaps are fine, better than rovers effort! If you look on some very low mileage untouched cars (and I have) the bonnet gaps ain't that good on them!
