Wow loving this, its nice to see a real good bit of home made manufacturing! Looks a hundreds time better than the kits supplied my Minispeed and others. I like the inlet manifold especially. Fair play!

Latest update, Made a oil breather/ catch tank today. There’s a baffle inside to separate the oil from the air.

Had the classic on the rolling road last Friday, made 90bhp at the wheels. The operator said there is room for more power, its just a matter of me playing around with the megajolt.

I was using Asda pump fuel, nothing fancy...

That work looks truely brilliant. fantastic fabrication skills.

One thing ive always wondered about these suck through set ups. Why is the carb not mounted closer to the charger?
In my mind this would ease the iceing issue because its then right above the manifold, and also give better throttle response. Then again, i dont really know what im talking about

Probably to do with the space available because the top of the carb might pop through bonnet. Plus that link pipe looks the dogs danglies, ha.

Thank you all for your kind words, there's still room for improvement. Since making the water jackets around the carburetor pipe to the supercharger there is now no hesitation when left to tick over for long periods of time.

Cars really torque. I’m going to put some high octane fuel in and then write another map, recon we should see 100bhp at the wheels then. Key thing is reliability!!!

Do these superchargers withstand the suckthrough set up now? As i heard before that the fuel peels off the coating on the rotors?

It can on the older R53 superchargers that have rotor grey in colour, when they get hot the coating can peel off. If you used the face lift/JCW conversion supercharges they used a supercharger that have rotors cover in Teflon which is black in colour and are much more dual able

I'm sure you should easily see 100 hp @ the wheels with a bit more tweaking.
