Some of the AA guys are ok. When my Herald 1200 convertible (well, the chassis was from that) caught fire due to some dubious wiring at 60mph on the A6 they managed to bypass the ignition switch somehow and I ended up just killing her with a hidden immobiliser switch for 2 years!
Great cars, wish I could have kept mine.

Great cars, though I preferred the Vitesse....had an original 1600cc one. What model Herald do you have? I bet you will get to know Rimmer Bros well.

13/60 saloon, nothing special. Took it for a new tyre and tracking yesterday and while it was on the ramp I got to have a good look underneath. Some of the welding that has been done is reeeeealy bad! The guy told me to take the spare wheel out of the boot as it was likely to fall through at the next speed hump! At least I've managed to patch up the exhaust for now and fix the drivers door lock that kept falling out!Great cars, though I preferred the Vitesse....had an original 1600cc one. What model Herald do you have? I bet you will get to know Rimmer Bros well.

Sounds like you do not need locks yet.My 1976 TR7 came about the same wollowing in Rust.I bought the cheaper pannels Sills etc. and made the rest out of Gal. Steel.Still i enjoyed it.The front wings were so bad they would of fell off over a road hump.
