Many thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure about the suitability of the arms to the applications mentioned but sure Phil can help, he's at [email protected].

All the best,

Al

Many thanks, yep the boys have done some sterling work - I love the doors too, saw them on Matt's race car and had to be done, billet handles took them that bit further again.

So much to report but not back to Exeter until the weekend when, yes you are hearing correctly, I'm apparenlty going to be having a drive! All to be taken apart again after for paint but as so custom plan was always to make sure everything worked first.

Quite a lot of the body already in zinc primer. Arches sorted after a lot of effort and some serious re-working. Some other custom grp coming together at the back, fuel filler progressed and windows tested. Front end all worked out and bonnet and boot in place. Stalks added to column, custom overtaking mirror sorted. Still working on the diffuser, but getting there, and massive amount of time spent by Phil sorting out and hiding all the wiring in a new bulkhead - hopefully lots of pics to follow at the weekend.

Finally got the seats, mirrors and roof painted as these are to be a slightly different colour to the body. Seats were a bit tricky as backs so raw. Got them upto Dave Kimberely who layered up some tissue and resin and this allowed the surface to be DA'd before Graham Smith at Mark One Motors got the filler out. Really happy with how flat it all is, hoping the colours will work in the end!

Mirrors are Lifeline MSA Formula from Demon Tweeks, one of the cheapest things on the car but really impressed with quality, nice fixing. Not sure exactly what to do with the inside of the roof, plan was to get it flat and then vinyl wrap it in cf to match the seats but Graham had real difficulty with it. He suggested having a thin layer of foam applied to the inside before the wrap as a lot of modern cars apparently have a foam backing to the headlinig but not sure, any thoughts on this are welcome!

Hope you like it all:

I know its not the final colour but I'm tempted to spray mine grey if I don't stick with the yellow.

It's looking great!

im worried that the amount of money invested in mine will mean im too scared to use it once its finished!
do you have a completion date in mind for yours?
im really hoping i can get mine 95% done before winter then get it MOT'd, suspension set-up, on the rollers, then on the road for spring
