Thanks guys, yep, real push to finish now, but, as you know, I've said that before!
A few more updates: had intended to use individual sock filters but bike shop reckons this particular engine works a lot better with an air box so Ben is working one up for me with a connection for the filter (just a mock up at the mo); local body shop have sorted out the bonnet and boot, really pleased with those; got hold of a nice starter button and hazards switch from CBS and have been playing with some 70s mini indicators - plan is to cut them down, thread the ends and fit some billet lotus stalks which you can pick up on ebay for not too much, will need to be cut down but should work well.

Ben has done some no. plates for me - I know they're just no. plates but they are truly awesome, so light and rigid

Bit of an update:
Local chap, Chris Ridgers, has sorted out the fuel lines/filter/pump etc and engine bay pretty much buttoned up now, plumbing all complete, master cylinders in, catch tank and washer tank in (need air box to complete), got the Elise throttle cable just need bracket to fit it, gear linkage re-worked as was fitted incorrectly, roof on, brake pads in, exhaust test fitted (needs diffuser to finish) and rear suspension components re-plated with drain holes this time to deal with the corrosion issue... and a load of other jobs which I've forgotten.
Really pleased with it all, Spencer Morgan at SM Engineering made a narrower version of his catch tank to fit the inner A panel with angled inlets and copied this with a knurled cap and pump from CBS for the washer tank on the other side.
Chris got Dan at St Engineering to turn up the ram pipes/trumpets, top bit of work and Earls supplied all the hose/fittings/filter/valves etc for the fuel line install, you can't beat a bit of Aeroquip for that trick look.
Plan is to get a bulkhead panel made (I've started a cardboard template!) to house the power commander and cover the various boxes on the firewall, it doesn't really need it as all so neat but want to complete the minimal/smooth vs stripped out race car crossover look.
After Chris was done I took the car up to Retro Power in Hinkley who are going to sort the rear lights and arches... and, most probably/hopefully, get it all finished.
Hope you like it.

Alan, that looks incredible!
What arches are you going to run?

Thank you. Heart set on the miglia look mate but after the debacle with the wheel width I'm not sure if that's going to work - options are to go wider with different tyres (don't really want to do that as like the look of the A032Rs!) or spacer (don't really want to do that for well rehearsed reasons) or maybe I should just bin the idea and go for cosmics or something more understated... is that what you've got?

I'm on curley carbon Miglias. I probably have about same width as you. The good thing about miglias is you can just trim them right down to whatever width you like. I must have chopped nearly 2 inches of the back ones on mine.
It does look like you may struggle on the front though to get a good height with the sump/wing clearance. I'm surprised promotive don't raise the engine up a bit more.
Cosmics do look very good to!

Hi
Where did you source that gorgeous plenum from? looks fantastic

Many thanks for the comments guys.
Plenum/airbox is from Carbon Weezel, they've also just finished the diffuser for me, both looking really good! Been dealing with Ben Popham at CW and he's been first class. Back up to RP on the weekend so hope to post up some more pictures then as well.
Airbox been up to RP for test fitting and then back to Ben so that he could sort out the back plate, Ben can probably drop a note on here re how he made the diffuser if anyone keen to know.
Al
Modelled up the ram pipes and airbox in order to get the pipe right, bit tricky due to angle of cylinder head, hopefully will all work out, CW/PR have mocked it up so hoping filter fits behind the grille
Pipe ends to be cut back for airbox/filter connection
Nick setting out each section
That makes it look easy - I know it wasn't!
