Hi all, I am looking at buying an owners manual for my car because a previous owner lost it, my mini is a 1998 'R' reg mpi cooper (no sportspack) the one i'm looking at buying is on ebay

The guy says this "The date and part no. on the back cover are as follows.
1996 RCL 0179ENG 2nd Edition" on the back of it, I know MPI was introduced in 1997 so I dont think this is the right one but I'm not entirely sure, anyone got any ideas

I beleive the MPi was available in October 1996.
