After more than two weeks with the Mini down, I received my order on Friday. So I found time Sunday morning to change the fuel pump. I got it done by removing the carburetor to gain access to the nuts. Everything worked, I even did about 30km that day. I had to do the usual adjustments on the carb after.

The pump is the non-genuine one. On pictures I thought the plastic on the end was to protect the arm during handling but no, is it the contact surface with the cam...I'm not sure how I feel about that.

The KAD quickshift feels really nice!

I did a 2 hours drive yesterday! Having time for myself is a rare thing so I went for a long drive. The clutch is still slipping but if I'm careful with the throttle it's good.

I also have a new bonnet hook so I'm not worried about it flying off

Thanks Timmy850 for the idea, I painted the exhaust clamp so it's less apparent

Even less apparent if you swing it round so the nuts are at the top.

Bit more of a faff to tighten/loosen, but how often do you do that?

So everything goes well except for the slipping clutch but I'm able to drive, I just can't floor the throttle.

The exhaust resonator was hanging really low and was already scrapping on everything so I put it higher by drilling a new hole on the bracket tying it to the subframe.

Went to a local car meet, I was the only Mini in about 130 cars. That's how rare they are here

Awesome.

My mini is going to look just like yours (same colours) and my sister has  beetle just like the one next to it in exactly the same colour.

I had the alignment done today, it's the best money I've spent on the Mini. It drives so much better! The caster was especially off, because of my adjustable tie bars. I've been advised to add the adjustable brackets on the rear to really adjust everything, so that will be on a future parts order.

Two months without update, because the Mini is running fine. I just put LEDs for the brake lights and indicators because it's getting darker as winter is coming and I want to be seen.

I have a nice to-do list for the winter. For now it's clutch, electronic ignition, starter motor, rear camber brackets and other small things.

I'm currently building myself a custom roof rack in my free time. I hope to finish it in time for next season. I'm detailing the build here:

So that's it for 2020! Tomorrow, winter tires will be mandatory in Québec and snow is coming really soon. I will soon start my winter to-do list that keeps getting longer. 2020 was by far the best year, Mini-wise.

So the Mini is on blocks and jack stands, and ready to be worked on
