Love this shot!  Love the thread and chuffed for you with where you've got the mini too.  Awesome looking Mini and clearly a lot of hard work gone into it.  Congratulations!

Lovely pic! It seems your son is always sitting in the car? :)

You've done a nice work on the car! Just the wheels seem so big compared to the car!

Hope you get the MOT or how this is called in Québec, and can soon enjoy it!

Cheers

I am so impressed that you stuck it thru for over 10 years, and now the results are well worth it! Next best thing is when you finally get to take it out for a real run!

Well done!

Yes my oldest son loves it now haha. It didn't do much for him in the past, but since the engine started I think he realized it was becoming a real thing. Now he always talks about it.

It's funny that I have a picture of him on page 2 of this thread when he was just a couple of months old.

I do have a technical inspection to pass, but now everything is closed so I can't do that for now.

Thanks for the feedback!

I finally completed the dash area. I started by making my own base boards and covering them with the trim piece I bought

And then the main fascia panels, new. I trimmed them a bit not to break them

I made small panels too to put at the bottom of the rear bins. Those are red, so +2hp

I did all the tuning on the ignition and carb, and after a really fun test drive, I decided it was time to complete the front look

Businesses are slowly opening up here so I'm working on getting it legal on the road. First thing done is I had it evaluated by a specialist to tell my insurance company how much it's worth.

That's a big step, knowing the value of the car ;)

It means it's (nearly) finished!!

And when one is doing small jobs like dash or companion bin upholstery, the end is not that far away!!

Mine is not very valuable at the time, but takes every day some more pennies haha.

PS: thumbs up for the small details like "arrière" or "droite" from a native french speaker ;)
