Exciting! Similar stage as my shell - I'm itching to see it with everything back in place like your last pics. Looking forward to seeing your next update with fresh paint!

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the bodywork man to tell me he's ready...

You should seriously consider a CAM/HIF44 carb and maybe rockers to max on all the power.
Especially now that the engine is out..
I just pulled a Crane 731 and new clutch out of mine and replaced with a BP255 + HIF44 - what a difference.
Getting a new ported head mid summer..

It may sound weird but I want to experience the standard engine before anything more. And I just want to drive the damn thing one day first

I'm in Montreal the next three days near old port, any mini shops I can visit for parts or car shows on?

Just read your entire project thread and will keep checking your updates as it has been very inspiring. You deserve a big pat on the back for sticking with it. Obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into everything. Keep it up and good luck!
Thanks for that! This project has seen ups and downs over the years. If I knew at the start that 11 years later it still wouldn't be finished I would have NEVER started it. I could have bought a top condition Mini for less than what I paid already. And because I have this project car, I prevented myself of having cool cars meanwhile.
Anyways, maybe I'll forget about those years when I finally drive it, I don't know.
