The engine is now at a specialist's shop to be cleaned and rebuilt during the winter. I could've learned to do it myself, but with the time I have it would take me another 10 years. I'm at a point that I'm willing to pay to get things going faster.
I also found the bodyshop that will finish the paintwork. It's 15 minutes from me, and the man has a serious passion for Minis. He owns 7 of them at the moment, and worked on many, many more. I'm on his waiting list for this winter

Doing electrical stuff is not my favorite, but I think I'm slowly getting it

Nice mini you got there!
Just a small thing but it seems your indicator repeaters come on with your sidelights... Or is it intended?
It's intended, because the side repeaters originally had red wire, and not green wire, so I thought they were sidelights only. I may be wrong though

Next I wired the 4 spot lamps. I decided to separate them in two pairs. The main reason is that it's much cooler to flip two switches than one switch.
This is one complete circuit. With relay and in-line fuse. The switch gets its power in the main beams. Can't believe I did all this, and I even understand how it works...
One pair working
Two pairs working!
I have to figure where to put the two new switches, and tidy up the wire routings

What are your plans for the engine as you have it out and maybe want to think of CAM etc - sorry if you already posted as I am adding a bunch of things including swapping 731 for a BP255 Cam
No upgrade anything. I just want to get it on the road and drive the damn thing!
