I now achieved my goal to put the Mini on its wheels before Christmas, and I will now take a break because I got so much things to do other than that. Don't expect updates for at least a month. Maybe the next update will be at the new house, who knows.

Hi,

So we moved to the new house. The garage is included in the house, so any welding and grinding sparks would be a fire threat. So the Mini is now at my father's garage waiting for me to do the remaining bodywork.

Last weekend I finally welded in the reinforcing plates for 3 points seat belts at the rear. All I had to do is remove the current bracket for the opening rear quarter. I carefully marked position of the screw holes and drilled them back after.

Hello, thanks for the intesrest! Slow progress has been made, mainly on the doors and bonnet

 

Repaired what was now missing from the door frames

Then I welded patches to the outer door skin. I felt stupid because it obviously warped the skin badly. So I removed the skins to replace them with new ones later.

Next, the bonnet gaps were really bad so I followed Sonikk4's magic tricks to adjust them
