Hello!

Here's my Mini, I bought it back in October 2008. Don't be afraid, those are Canadian regulation bumpers at the time! Don't worry, they'll go away really really fast! So these are pictures from when I bought it:

Let me know what you think about it, I'll post other pictures later. The project is currently progressing!

Really? Well, I guess it's just not my taste. It's a fact that they're rare, yes. Don't worry I won't bin anything, and I even now consider myself lucky to have some spare bumpers too (had a trailer-load of old parts with the car).

That said, I'm converting the bumpers to be Euro-spec, so they'll be available.

So, let the stripping begin!

I had the seats and door cards redone in tan leather already- don't have any pictures yet, but they now look great.

Canadian minis had some wicked finishing touches to them. Kinda like them :)
What about the engine? didnt they have a air pump fitted to head too?

Dont throw anything away, some purist will want for a restoration.

Good luck with the project

I love the way the Canadian Minis look. Think they have something very unique about them.

Thanks guys!

Don't be fooled by the Cooper S badges and the double fuel tanks though, it's a 1000, not a Cooper S! I also found later that the car was green in another life...I'm keeping it red and white, but I'm wondering, black or red arches? (Sportpack ones).

Good luck with the resto.

Those decals on that green one you posted Graig look well nice. Maybe we should see if roofless could make those. I would love a pair for a future project.

@Mini-Mad-Craig
Wow, I have that exact brochure with me, except it's in French :( Good find, buddy!

good luck with the resto... will you not get in trouble for having euro bumpers?

Ed

No, people with Minis I saw here had euro bumpers, so I guess it's alright!

What are the wheels have you got on it at the minute?

John

Frankly, I have no idea! But I know they were not standard, because I got the original hubcaps with the car. They're 10''. And I like the idea of a key-locking wheelnut!

Thanks for your comments, I can't wait to work on it this weekend!

great car.. good to see another canadian.. those rims are either jupiters or cosmics i think... they are really nice but if you are running sportspack arches they may not look right... as for the candian bumpers.. i like them.. have built a couple minis that used to have them and now dont and there is no legality issues regarding the issue... nobody around here knows enough about minis to even know the difference...

good luck on the project!
