Tried taking some pictures but even with the flash turned off the switches are not bright enough for the camera to pick up, however, they do "glow" and make hitting the right switch a lot easier :(

Instruction - LINKY

Okay, worked how to turn the flash off on the BlackBerry so here's a couple of pictures (PS - Brake Switch Light not working and Front Fog Switch obscured by cable). . . . .

Sorry to bump this after such a long time (people do get upset bumping old threads, and get upset creating duplicates, so you can't win).

This Moss WPA9062X switch illumination kit looks like its no longer available. Does anyone have one they want to sell, or are there decent alternative ones for the 5 switch layout ?

thanks,
Andy

Hi there. Sorry for the bump.

I just fitted the version that mini spares sell, but have an issue in that the 'lights on buzzer' doesn't come on when I open the doors, with ignition off. All the dash lights now come on with the headlights, but the buzzer doesn't sound. The buzzer is the main reason I bought it!

Any ideas?

If you have wired it correctly then my guess would be that the interior light doesn't work, possibly because the switches on the doors are not correctly earthed.

Thanks for the suggestion Monkey. The interior light does come on as it should (ignition on or off), it' just that the new control unit doesn't buzz as it's supposed to - humph.
Maybe I should check the connection between the control unit and the interior light door switch - for a 4th time :-(

Minifreek1 - will try to post a pic, but it's a mild illumination. I guess any way of seeing the dash switches is a result!

Hmm in that case I'm abit stumped. I don't know how the unit works but I would try and test it. I'm guessing there is a wire on the control box that is wired into the door switch, does this require an earth or voltage to sound the buzzer? I would imagine it needs voltage. You could figure this out with a tester and/or wiring diagram. I would be tempted to put voltage down it to see if you can make the buzzer sound.

This will tell you if the control unit or your wiring is causing the fault.

Please note: I'm no expert, only saying what I would do. If you balls up your control unit by following my advice - don't blame me :-P
