and about the price of the fiberglass ones.
when i got a mini special under dash shelf i asked body stylist if he wanted copy it and sell them on.
heres a link to the thread,
http://www.theminifo...x...71&hl=shelf
now the under dash shelf is slightly bigger and he was only asking £25. and everyone still said that was too much.
i would be very interested in one of these fiberglass cup holders but i wouldn't pay much over £20 for one.

i have thought about the retractable type cup holders, to me they look a little too modern to fit into a minis interior.

I'v got a cup holder to go in my car.
Its the same length of a cd player and half the depth.
I'v got my cd player to go in my car then this is gonna fit into a center console. When I start on the interior later this year I'll get some pictures.
Its from a Mk4 golf by the way and the best bit was it was free.
yeah thats the same as the one i had

i took it out as i didn't have a dash to cut it into which would be the best way to fit it i think

thees hard to find now, thats why i wanted body stylist to do a copy, so they where available as a reproduction, but it never happened because everyone complained about the £25 price tag.

yer some posts have been deleted,
there was a link above my post to ebay. and there £50.
with some of the posts deleted the thread doesnt really make sence anymore lol
and on a completely unrelated topic, look what i found on ebay
Simon,
The link was hidden because everyone who trades on the forum has to register.
The Person selling these has been asked to register, but hasn't yet responded.
We don't insist on this to control but to help ensure the security on the forum in case of rogue traders.
If the OP simply places a link in 'ebay links' and only sells the parts via ebay then thats fine.
If the OP places an advert for one part in the classifieds, that is also fine.
However, if he wants to advertise or sell parts anywhere else on the forum, or trade on the forum, then he must be registered.
Please do not add the link again.

get a cd drive from a pc, power it, then modify the cd holder for cups. sounds silly but it would work
and it would be electric
That'd be awesome if you had it all neatly installed! You could just run it off a usb fag lighter thing hidden behind the dash, that'd be a 5v supply right there. WHy must you all give such good ideas!!!
