Which 1 is better?
Vibe
Fli
P.s. fitting a sub into my boot will it damage my parcel shelf speakers?
Also has anybody got a sub in the boot and any speakers on the parcel shelf?
Cheers

So being cheap is quality lost?
Or because its made by vibe its still good?
I'm considering getting this sub/amp myself.
Found a better pic of it.

Spec:
* Active subwoofer bass-box with built in amp
* 10" Fli Frequency driver with Fli Loaded 200 Amplifier
* 250 Watt RMS / 800W Max
* Bass Boost & Crossovers built-in
* Dimentions: 450(L) x 300(W) x 343(H)mm
* Autoleads PC4-27 complete wiring kit included
At this site you get wiring kit with it as well for £110 otherwise depending on the shop its between £90 and £100.

to be fair to them ive heard one of the Fli actives and for the price they sound ok. this is only because the box is designed for them, the biggest mistak people make when building an install

Im actually well chuffed with what ive got! :tongue:
Im running a Pioneer 10" free air sub on the parcel shelf. The boot isnt even sealed up yet and it sounds awsome.
Once ive got the entire boot board kit in, it should drop a bit lower as theres more of a wadded enclosure in the boot.

Vibe every time over Fli - fli's are made with cheaper parts, and are generally not built as good as Vibe's
Think of them as Tesco value choc, compared to cadburys
Theres no real difference when you first start - but the more you eat, the more you'll notice how much better the proper one is over the economy one :wink:

^ Hmmm, ok. Anyone got this active sub and had problems with it over time?
Originally I was set for gettin the cbr 10 active but this one is £80 cheaper.
Ben, where did you get your boot board and how much? Or did you craft it yourself?

MCM, If you have a budget setup, It really dosent matter what sub you get mate. unless you go to extreme measures to set up a pro system, any sub is gona sound exactly the same.
My mates got a FLI in his Beetle behind the rear seats, and a pair of 6x9s on the shelf. It crank up louder than my mini system, but my mini ICE eats his alive on SQ as ive mounted all my speakers on baffle boards, used a £50 wiring kit etc, aimed the speakers properly etc.
A fli isnt going to sound any different to any enclosed sub if its just going in the boot of your mini.

and for the £100 or whatever the fli sub is. You get a nice looking enclosure which is actually designed for that sub. You get the sub its self, You get an amp, and you get wiring.
Your average sub would cost £30 anyway. A Sub box would be about £30 also.
You are looking at £50 for the budget amp, and atleast £15 for a wiring kit.
Fli is a good choice if its not a pro Install!
And I must say, They dont sound that bad if they are setup right. Have a nice low frequency, and have the volume just right so it blends with the speakers!
