Hi, i was looking for pictures of mini's with cibie lamps, i want some oscars for mine but just wanted some ideas on what they look like, i've had a look around but there aren't many picture's about, still trying to decide between normal cibies oscars or the supers. If you could post a picture that would be great. >_<

EDIT: also what would be better for lanes and b roads, driving lamps or the long range ones?

My 1964 Cooper 'S' has 2 Cibie Super Oscar Driving Lamps for rallying. They are superb and only bettered by the PIAA 8" driving lamps which my other rally car has. I run 100 w H1 bulbs and they are fine for twisty roads. The long-range lamps always seem to give too much of a pencil beam for twisty roads.

I run with KC Daylighters and prefer them to Cibies. Comparable on output but from a smaller lamp in a stainless casing and with nice big mounts so no shake at all without steadies. Their main drawback is they are quite a bit deeper.

I would agree a driving pattern is more use than long range through the lanes.

Thanks for the help guys, guess the driving lamps are the way to go, just need to decide whether to get oscars or super oscars.
Anyone have any pictures?

I just want to say that looks a treat.
Love the Italian Job lamp bar.
And IMHO extra lamps that are way bigger that than the headlights always look a bit
out of place to me.
Is the top lamp secured apart from onto the bar (or does it shake like Elvis) ?
