Flying Banana,

As I have just posted on BigChief's thread I believe you conversion and install is one to aspire to and I note the comments on both threads about the woos of cutting the bulkhead.

As you have done so are there any signs you may have weakened the car at all and would you do the same again if you started another conversion.

Like you I am looking for a cheap conversion which gives me an easier ride as possible but at the end of it a cheap to run but fun mini. So I suppose the route you have taken is the cheapest way around the conversion, as it looks that bike carbs or any other carb solution is not simple at all and looks to be costly which puts it out of my range.

Did you strength the bulkhead internally (engine bay or inside the cabin) after you cut it at all, I am not sure you can just interested to know ?

yes i agree can't seem to find a 1.3 but yes there are loads of 1.0. so might just get a 1.0.
also i am looking at the turbo conversion for this engine.
i just love the sound of a dump valve, but that would come later, much later.

the only thing that is putting me of is the subframe, big chief made it look easy but our gearboxes are different.

yes mat i wish it was easy. i tryed to do what BIGCHIEF done but could not do it so i had to make my
own. i do belive that the early boxes are smaller(can any one conferm)then you may be able to do what BIGCHIEF
done.
just do it do it you know you want to :dontgetit:
