2nd on the seam strips and 1st on the number plate light


im gona leave it a couple of weeks for it to fully harden and then do the final flat and polish, til then ill jus wax it

today i put most things back on and removed the tape so its not far off finished







tonight im goin to do another coat on the boot, number plate light and seam strips and also finish making the door cards(got some black vinyl today)

Well done, it is great to see a low budget simple give it a go rebuild. To me if more of these types of build were put in the magazines and not the "I've spent 20k blah blah blah" reports then more people would get stuck in and give it a go themselves.
Not every build has to be a show winner and the more people who take this sort of approach the more minis will still be around in a few years.
Again well done for the hard work low cost approach and keep at it.

Exactly Steve, its why i love this thread. This is what Mini's are about, appealing to everybody, homebuilds on a budget have always been a huge part of the Mini, if magazines focused more on this than trailer queens then maybe i wouldn't have cancled my subscription last year.

Home builds are the way forward. Get in the garage people. To many people stuck in front of the telly watching Y feckter or some other *******.. There is a whole community of folk out there with more knowlege on Minis than you can shake a stick at. So step away from the tellys and get that Mini sorted. (This ones for you Terry.)
