MINI COOPER S ENGINE
REMOVED FROM HISTORIC RALLY CAR
COOPER S AEG 312 BLOCK OVER BORED TO 1380
3.5 OMEGA PISTONS
POLISHED COOPER S RODS
1.5 COOPER S FORGED ROCKERS
SWIFT TUNE SW5 CAM
AEG 480 COOPER S CRANK (EN 40 B)
ULTRA LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL AND BACK PLATE
COOPER S 12G940..1805 HEAD (STANDARD HEAD)
4 SYNCRO REMOTE STRAIGHT CUT GEARBOX IN EXCELLENT CONDITION HAVING HAD VERY LITTLE USE
ALL PARTS HAVE BEEN CHEMICALLY CLEANED AND PAINTED READY FOR REASSEMBLING
The question that i have is how much stronger would this engine be compared to an MG metro A+ engine that has been bored out to the same spec, aslo what should i be looking for when buying?

Do you know what the grind of the crank is on?
What year mini are you planning to fit it to? The remote gearbox and linkage will require modifications to fit it to a post 74 ish car.
Depends on price to give a good assesment of value really.

It was what I picked up from a thread on here.not sure what youre allowed to say on here but what rumblings have you heard about that seller as ive been watching some of their engines for a while as they look quite good
Something to do with feedback from another account of a very simular name that did not have good feedback. Eluding to bumping up feedback from the same origin of ebay account or something like that???
I.E starting up another ebay account of a simular name to shake off the bad feedback stigma?
All above comments are allegid and hearsay and picked up from opinions only.
As with any ebay sale it is buyer beware with all transactions.

maybe worth asking what the gearbox case number is...

Then measure everything when you get there, If it is not as the answers and you don't like anything you could walk away stating that "it is not as described".
Condition of crank and block are key for me at that price,
Not sure that you can do anything with an offset bore 1380 when the bores wear?
The gearbox has a value too so do the maths on what the components are worth.
