welding on both the first examples is terrible, definatly get what you pay for with quality items.

Playing devils advocate here but is it really necessary to have one of these unless you have a well tuned 1275 or bigger? Seem to recall a few months back Sir Calver doing some very informative pieces about cooling and in one about how it is not a good idea to have the engine running too cold. It wont be good for fuel economy and could be a pain in winter months when trying to warm the car up quickly. Pretty sure the standard rad was good up to a reasonable state of tune.

Obviously appreciate they look sexy....

I'm buying one because my engine will be fairly tuned and my current rad is abit shabby with loads of bent fins. Only reason i'm looking at these is that they're cheap than the minispares twin core ones. Its just a plusthat they're alloy and look nice >_<

was waiting for a comment like that. hold on, what are we doing looking at these rads? i guess we will all have to get the extra £250 needed (which i know i dont have spare) to buy a Radtec one because the welds look better >_<

And its a yes to the question regarding whether its 2core, i thought it was stated to be honest

If you were so bothered about the welds, i suppose you could even dress them yourself and polish the rad more.

Personally i would rather buy from a UK manufacturer, i would rather support british manufacturing

What happens when you want parts made from radtec, force pace, forge? what happens when you need to buy parts from our great british suppliers when they have gone out of buisiness because you bought cheap chinese $*** in order to save a couple of quid

None of you have any idea how good these rad are how efficiant the cores are? how many of these rads have been manufactured to the high standards we have in this country?

Bought just because its shiney  ;)

Lol, to save a couple of quid? To save £200 more like compared to the radtecs versions. I doubt the UK made rads are 4 times better in quality and cooling.

Should work fine. Where does the pipe for the expansion tank come off, I thought it was off the thermostat housing myself?

I might get one of these, I have alot of problems with cooling in the summer.

Gino, do you have any cooling problems? I realise your car has the Aux radiatiator aswell though.

the thing that calver was saying about was the 4 core rads that many people think are the best, which isn't the case. because your essentially doubling the thickness of the rad, and people don't change the fan for something more substantial. so the cooling capacity is cut down by 50% because there isn't anymore fan power than standard to push the air out so it struggles to cool efficiently.

The two core ones work very well :P and being ally its lighter too

Realy?

I'd rather have £200 in my pocket. Fair enough if it was a matter of a couple of quid, not a couple of hundred.
