if i can unearth the scamp, i will get some more pictures for you all. I do have a new one but its sealed in the box and may be for some time, so i dont really want to remove it and risk damage over the coming months.

the rad from the link i put on has a screw thread on the front corner for a fan switch. i cant confirm that the minispares screw switch will fit in as i havent tried it. i do have a couple of the minispares switches that i can try as i did have an electric auxillary fan but it shattered at the uttoxeter show, thankfully before i fitted this rad. with the cost of antifreeze, it could also be an expensive test  .

for the spi's and late carbs with extra fans in the wing, you will require a switch for the fan. now you can either find one that fits the rad, or just run it to a seperate flick switch on the dash.

if push comes to shove and theres enough people wanting to know, i'll test one of the minispares ones.

oh and the one i linked to comes with the overflow pipe facing slightly offset forwards, and the rad cap is of the smaller style like on most ally rads but is of the correct pressure rating.

The main advantage for me of the switch boss is it makes coolant changes easy. Getting the bottom hose of is a right pain!

Ok, here's my situation. Dexter's 998 is getting sold off this Spring and I will be dropping in a Cooper Sport MPi 1275. I have the front mounted rad subby that came with the Cooper lump, but I was planning on just using one of these aluminum radiators so it looks like the MPi is going to be mounted in my older style subby. My question is which one of these linked to aluminum radiators will I need for my MPi (again, keep in mind it will be in an old subframe NOT the front mounted radiator version).

The first one is still aluminium, the second one just has a better switch boss and looks abit more polished.
