It's in the bodyshop right now so can't look, but how many bolts are needed to attach the front bumper? Apparently they aren't standard size either?

Cheers

Yup and then nuts the other side.
There should be 3 of them. Although quite often they are rusted and ruined, in which case you can remove the studs, and fit nuts and bolts of a similar size.

So I should get these, but what bolts do they go with?

I'm lost now,

Are you buying a new bumper or refitting one without the studs? Also confirm it isn't a Clubman front bumper.

It's a mini rover 1991, so mk4. It's the original bumper but lost the bolts for it (or that's what the people at the body shop said), and they said they couldn't find any that would fit it.

What do I need to reattach?

Sorry for being a noob!

You can't lose the bolts, they are permanently attached, they might have snapped them off.

If they aren't snapped three 1/4unf nuts and some washers are all you need. If they are broken any small bolts will do once they've drilled out the old ones.

i was given a clean bumper that one of the bolts had be chopped of and as they where imperial threads i just cut the rest off and welded new ones on that where a metric thread, as i found random nuts and bolts, its worked a treat!!
