Sorry to sound dense, I have never heard the word "Bespoke" until I got here. Can anyone explain what you guys mean when you say "Bespoke" when talking about cars?

One of a kind, original etc you would comission someone to make you something bespoke. Not saying that something bespoke couldn't then be repeated but the 2nd one wouldn't be bespoke

Specifically manufactured to your dimensions and requirements, from scratch. Not necessarily original but not a standard off the shelf product. Made to fit.

It's a nice old English word - betrothed, between, beheaded...
be - spoke, as - said i.e. to your specification. Saville Row & Germaine Street knock out lots of bespoke Tweed 'n Oxford gear for the nobs.

Yes, but with chances to 'go into production' and not stay a single piece. 'Tailor made' is maybe a good synonym? Like a 'crossflow head for the Mini' with 'bespoke throttle bodys [specificaly 'tailored' throttle bodies for that head, but probably 'mass produced']. Well, that's my theorie of what it means anyway
