Thanks for the support lol.

Well i can only hope they will be alright. They are only going to be used in the summer. I have some cheap 12's for the winter so that may help. Ill write another post later on in the year once i have put them on her and used them to say if they are alright.
(for the moment they do look nice and shiny in my bedroom)

I would keep them and use them,I have a set of 13 by 7 minilites, chrome dish and anthracite center, purchased from MWS , 2 years on they are still ok,they are polished every weekend and i put a tiny layer off protective wax on them after , Not sure if this has helped to protect them but it seems to work.

Just keep salt away from them, and whip round the polished bits once a week or so to keep dirt and salt off them. They'll be fine if you treat them well, but I will agree that we've had a few bad wheel related experinces with MWS. They do look good, I must admit!

Don't get too down about it all, I bought a set for my other half for christmas 2008, she uses her car as a daily driver all year round and take it from me, she washed her car the other day and they still look as good as new! I can promise you that!

Those wheels will look ace on your car mate ;)
just keep them washed off duing the winter (salty season) and they'll be fine.

Well they wont actually be on during the winter. So hopefully that eliminates that a little bit.

Is it worth me getting a new set of wheel nuts. The ones i got with the wheels look good but i dont want them shearing.

Thanks
Greg

lets see if you say the same thing about MWS in 6 months time when they are all flaky and look like a bag of poo

I bought my MWS wheels 6 years ago when I first had Luna painted purple and have not had a single issue with them. They get used all year round come rain or shine. I'm sorry some people have had a bad experience with them but I must say I haven't

Had a set of D1s which started to rust after about 8 months. Never had salt near them and cleaned every week. The problem is the quality of the material used in the wheel construction, being made in china it could be fine sometimes and not others.

Out of interest, you bought them on the phone or internet did you? You legally get a 14day return clause, in case you change your mind. but they MUST be in new condition, so I would guess unfitted. Think before you fit them!

Well i am not fitting them till the end of the summer. so i have a long time to think about it. Even then they will only be fitted for a little time till i get my old wheels looking respectable for winter wheels.

I phoned them up for info on them but actually ordered them through the internet. Why do you ask.

Its something called Distance Selling regulations. If you decided you had changed your mind on the wheels you can legally get a refund on them upto 14 days from receipt. This is so that you can inspect the goods, as you didnt see them and accept them in a shop. However I would recommend you search "midland wheels problem" or "MWS" on here soon, so you can see what has happened. Then you can make an informed decision yourself on whether to keep them or send them back.
