So how much bigger is that than a normal BINI?

See my edit in previous post.........despite what some people think the normal MINI is shorter than most other 'superminis' including the Toyota Yaris.

I like that. Certainly different to the bland looking alternatives being produced by many manufacturers recently.

ok, so what is their excuse for not calling the actual countryman remake, the clubman, when it isnt a clubman, if they are going to use "countryman" on this? when they could of come up with their own name?

anyway, this people is the new chelsea tractor, because that aint going offroad lets face it! and i cant see country people buying this when they have tried and tested tech in the subaru outback or forester?

Seems logical to use the 'Countryman' name on this type of Mini as part of the brands heritage. Austin Rover did not hesitate to use the Countryman name on vehicles like the Montego Estate............

or going back further before the classic Mini even........the Austin A70:

The biggest market for this version of the MINI is expected to be the USA.

When the new BMW mini come out it looked and drove fantastic - I had a 52 cooper and loved it, but a few years on BMW have now established the brand, and for some reason keep making all their concept Minis less and less like the original. Give it a couple of years, and they will have something like the 1 series with the Mini wings on it!!

Im sticking with my classic!!

I must admit i like it. The 4 doors are a good idea and now gives a family access to the mini brand which as never been done before. i know that a family can fit in to a classic but these days there nothing like that. If it brings new families in to the mini family then i welcome it, but there will be the haters so be it every one is welcome to there opinion so long as it they keep it to themselves and dont shout abuse at show etc which some do and ruining days out for many people.
But as a BMW mini and a classic lover i hope they dont forget were it comes from and move to far from its design inspiration.

That really is very close to the concept... fair play there, lets hope the Coupe is as close to the concept as the Countryman. But fingers crossed the Moke concept doesn't look anything like the concept!!

A van version of that could really take over the 'small load needed' business world (dare I say it) following in the footsteps of the original estate/van.

i cant believe they have the audacity to put a Cooper "s" badge on it :S

This is what i dont get with the MINI clubman. you cant have a Clubman thats a cooper. You have a clubman thats a 1275 GT
argh stupid german design department.

I'm sorry but I'm not Bini Bashing, but how does that resemble a countryman?!!! Same principle with this so called 'clubman' of theirs! Ok, fair enough you've bought the mini name, and you want to use it, fine, but at least lable your cars up properly?!!
